Rajouri, June 3: The Rajouri Times /Abrar Mughal/
An inspection visit was conducted at Government Middle School Navgran and Government Middle School Nadyala to review the ongoing developmental and academic activities in the institutions.
During the visit to MS Navgran, the construction work of the school boundary wall and toilet facilities was inspected. The work was found to be in progress, and directions were issued to ensure timely completion while maintaining proper quality standards for the benefit and safety of students.
At MS Nadyala, a concerning situation was observed during the inspection. Despite the school showing a high enrolment on official records, no students were physically present in the school at the time of the visit. Only two teachers were found sitting idle in the absence of students.
The inspection raised serious questions regarding student attendance, monitoring mechanisms, and the actual functioning of the institution. The absence of students despite reported enrolment figures has created apprehensions about the effectiveness of educational activities being carried out in the school.
Officials stressed the need for accountability and directed the concerned authorities to look into the matter seriously to ensure transparency, regular student attendance, and effective utilization of educational resources.
The incident once again highlights the importance of ground-level monitoring in educational institutions to assess the real academic environment and functioning of schools. Minister Sakina itoo was requested to check the officers and officials accountability.
