RAJOURI: A three-day training workshop for the upcoming Census successfully ended in Rajouri today. The program was organized under the guidance of the Deputy Commissioner of Rajouri, and more than 40 enumerators and supervisors attended.

The main goal of the workshop was to teach the field staff how to collect data correctly without making mistakes. Over the three days, participants discussed every part of the Census work in detail so everyone clearly understood their duties.

Experts gave simple, easy-to-understand lectures. Instead of just reading from books, the staff did a lot of practical work, including mock drills and hands-on exercises, to prepare them for real situations on the ground.

At the final session, the Census Incharge for Rajouri Tehsil spoke to the team to boost their confidence. He promised full support and reminded everyone how important their work is for the country.

The Census is not just a headcount; it is a vital tool for India’s growth. Here is why it matters:

  • Better Government Schemes: The government uses this data to plan welfare schemes and make sure help reaches the people who need it most.

  • Fair Representation: Census data helps decide the boundaries for political and administrative areas.

  • Business and Economic Planning: It helps planners and businesses understand population trends, jobs, and literacy rates to make future investments.

Because India has such a large population, even a small mistake in counting can cause big problems in national planning. Workshops like this one in Rajouri are important to help staff avoid mistakes and collect accurate, reliable details.
