JAMMU | MAR 11: In a chilling revelation that has stripped away the veil of domestic safety, a horrific case of predatory behavior has surfaced from the border township of RS Pura. In a place where a father is traditionally seen as a shield, a local man stands accused of becoming the very predator his young daughters needed protection from.
The harrowing details emerged after a mother, fueled by a desperate need to save her children, approached the RS Pura Police Station. Her testimony paints a grim picture: her husband, identified as Makhan Lal, allegedly subjected their two minor daughters—aged just 11 and 6—to repeated sexual abuse and rape over an extended period.
The sanctity of the home was reportedly turned into a chamber of trauma. According to the complaint, the accused utilized a reign of intimidation and threats to silence the young girls, ensuring his heinous crimes continued undetected within the four walls of their shared residence. Medical and psychological reports suggest both children are currently in a state of severe distress.
Taking immediate cognizance of the sensitivity of the matter, the RS Pura Police have officially registered a First Information Report (FIR) against Makhan Lal. The accused has been booked under the stringent Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, along with several relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
A senior police official, overseeing the investigation, confirmed that the law is moving at an accelerated pace. “We are examining every shred of evidence and the statements of the victims. There is zero tolerance for such depravity; the accused will face the full might of the legal system,” the officer stated.
The news has triggered a wave of visceral anger across the Jammu district. Local residents and child rights advocates are calling for a fast-track trial, demanding the harshest possible penalty to serve as a deterrent.
While the legal battle has just begun, the psychological scars on the two young survivors remain deep. However, many in the community are hailing the mother’s immense bravery. By shattering the “shame” often associated with such domestic horrors, her courage has not only rescued her daughters but has also sounded a clarion call for vigilance against child abuse within the home.
