Thanamandi, April 15, 2025 — FIR No. 53 has been registered at Police Station Thanamandi against a female government school teacher under serious charges including IPC Sections 333 grievous hurt to deter public servant from duty, 324(4) 191(2) 115(2) and – Section 4 and Section 25 The matter has raised serious concern in the public domain and warrants urgent and lawful departmental intervention. A top advocate suggested that as per service conduct rules, the department may initiate the following disciplinary actions: Preliminary departmental inquiry Immediate suspension, considering the severity of charges Issuance of charge-sheet and initiation of disciplinary proceedings Withholding of promotions, salary increments, or other benefits during the investigation
Termination from service in the event of conviction or proven misconduct. The Secretary School Education, Director School Education Jammu (DSEJ),Chief Education Officer (CEO) Rajouri, and the concerned Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) have been officially informed. The public has strongly demanded her inclusion in the “deadwood” list and strict termination proceedings. People from all walks of life have called for her immediate suspension and strict departmental and legal action. The Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor and *Education Minister* are urged to take serious note and ensure that an impartial inquiry is conducted. It is also requested that witness statements and available video evidence be used in the investigation. Activists Aftab Khan and Abrar Mughal have requested that there are enough video records as proof, which will be submitted to the CEO Rajouri for official use in the inquiry.
