In a remarkable display of unity against corruption, the district administration of Rajouri organized a grand rally as part of the “Bhrashtachar Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyaan” (Corruption-Free Jammu Kashmir Campaign). The event, spearheaded by Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Sh. Vikas Kundal, saw an overwhelming participation of various segments of society, demonstrating their commitment to eradicate corruption from the region.
The rally commenced at the Rajouri Sports Stadium and culminated at the DC Office Ground, drawing participants from all walks of life. The rally was a heartening display of solidarity as schoolchildren, university students, college students, and ASHA workers joined hands to champion the cause of a corruption-free Jammu Kashmir.
Sajad Bhat, the Councillor of the Counselling Cell in Rajouri, shared that over 600 schoolchildren, accompanied by their teachers, actively participated in the rally. Their enthusiastic involvement underscored the importance of instilling values of integrity and accountability from a young age. This massive turnout also highlighted the collective determination of the youth to combat corruption, which has adverse effects on the development and progress of society. He informed that in week long programme of the bharashtachar mukt jammu kashmir abhyaan several functions are being organized in the schools including pledge taking, poster making, slogan writing , skits and dramas and parent teacher meets .
The “Bhrashtachar Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyaan” aims to create awareness about the detrimental effects of corruption and promote ethical practices in both public and private spheres. The campaign encourages citizens to report instances of corruption and work together with the administration to build a transparent and accountable society.
Deputy Commissioner Sh. Vikas Kundal expressed his gratitude to all participants and stakeholders who made the rally a resounding success. He emphasized that the fight against corruption is a shared responsibility, and the district administration is committed to ensuring a corruption-free environment for the people of Rajouri.the oth was taken by the all participents to fight against corruption.
The mega rally in Rajouri serves as a shining example of community engagement and determination to root out corruption from the grassroots. With such initiatives, Jammu Kashmir is on the path to becoming a model of transparency and good governance.
