Photojournalist’ arrested with brown sugar in Baramulla
Srinagar, May 18 :Police on Thursday arrested a photo Journalist Inayat
Qayoom with 12 grams of contraband Brown Sugar-like substances at Kanispora Baramulla during Naka checking.
In a statement, a police spokesman to news agency—Kashmir Scroll said “Police under the supervision of Sajjad Bukhari, DySP Hqrs Baramulla assisted by PSI Rayees Ahmad, IC PP Delina arrested a Photo Journalist namely Inayat Qayoom Baidar R/O Khawajabagh Baramulla during naka checking at Kanispora who was coming from Baramulla towards Delina on Motor Cycle bearing registration number JK05J-2513 and upon seeing the naka party he tried to flee from the spot but was apprehended tactfully.
He said, “During his personal search, 12 grams of contraband Brown Sugar-like substances was recovered from him and he was taken into custody immediately and the Motor Cycle was also seized at spot.”
A Case under NDPS Act has been registered in Police station Baramulla and further investigations have been set in motion, the Spokesman added
